PROFESSIONAL DOG TRAINER SERVING OMAHA, LINCOLN & IOWA
You love your dog. You want them to be the best they can be and take them everywhere with you.
You just don’t love being dragged down the street, yelled at by your own dog at the front door, or wondering if they know their name.
I’ll help you turn chaos into calm by showing you how to communicate with your dog — so life together feels clear, easy, and way more fun.
DOG ON IT CUSTOMERS SAY…
DOG ON IT METHODS AND TOOLS
At Dog On It Training, we use relationship-based dog training because real change happens when your dog feels understood.
Instead of forcing behaviors, we teach in a way that makes sense to your dog by learning to speak dog. That means understanding their signals, instincts and needs so communication becomes clear instead of confusing.
Your dog isn’t broken and doesn’t need to be “fixed.” They need calm guidance, structure and leadership they can trust. When that happens, behavior improves naturally and your relationship gets stronger.
No more embarrassing walks. No more guests getting overly excited firecrackers greeting them. My job is to help you figure out how to teach them. Together, we teach your dog what behaviors are expected, and just as importantly, what behaviors are not—without yelling, frustration, or confusion. The goal is a balanced, well-behaved dog who can enjoy more freedom, not less.
I believe a dog’s mindset is the foundation of all training. You can’t just “spot-fix” unwanted behaviors like jumping, barking, or leash pulling. These behaviors are part of a bigger puzzle and it starts with your dog’s emotional state. An anxious or overstimulated dog can’t learn effectively. That’s why I focus first on calming the mind, then on obedience training and behavior modification.
We use clear communication tools tailored to your dog’s individual needs. If your dog is motivated by food, we use that. If they need clearer boundaries, we incorporate safe, humane tools that support your leadership. Every dog is different and I meet them where they are.
Whether you’re dealing with puppy training, leash reactivity, basic obedience, or just want to build a better connection, I can help you build the kind of relationship that makes life with your dog easier and more enjoyable.
